Pictures: Luke sitting on his own (with his sippy cup), and never letting Ally out of his sight.
Luke has decided he wants to eat when the rest of the family is eating. If he doesn't get to join in on the chewing he will cry. When he first showed interest in "big person food" he would watch us chew and move his mouth in a chewing motion. Then he started reaching for our plates and cups.
So yesterday at lunch I let him drink out of my glass and this seemed to pacify him (water, only). But at dinner he sat happily gnawing on his hand until he realized it wasn't chicken and rice like the rest of us were having and he wailed. So we tried the sippy cup. We have totally skipped the bottle and moved on to sippy cups.
It was a great success.
Wow! Makes seeing him in a month just that more exciting! Is there anything we can do to help with his little baby culture shock as he travels to a new country? :)
ReplyDeleteHow utterly exciting! Bottles are so 4 months old. Luke's moving on to the big stuff.
