Developing Digital...?

Getting film developed was always as exciting for me as Christmas. Christmas has been getting less and less exciting as I get older (it's still a beautiful, pleasant time of year) but getting pictures developed has not stopped giving me a rush. I no longer get film developed (except on rare occasions). In fact, it's hard to find a place that will even take film anymore. I take my digital images in and have pictures made.

Even though I've seen the pictures on the back of my camera, and on my computer, having the matte sheets in my hands is so magical. Last night I went to pick up an order of photos from Celeste. I hadn't had any of Luke's pictures printed, so a few weeks ago I went through them and picked my favorites...240 of my favorites. And I never thought to count! That's the equivalent of ten rolls of film! I will remind you that Luke is only five months old, and I will remind you that I only picked my favorite pictures. It is unreal what you can do with a digital camera. The sheer number of photos.

But let's be honest, I would have taken that many pictures of Luke with film too. I just would have had them developed 24 at a time.
By request: SOME NOISE!
