The toothbrush is old news. The wooden spoon is the new love of Luke's life. Several nights ago when Luke was having a grumpy moment we got the spoon out and banged it on some ice cream tubs to sing away the blues. Then last night he was sucking on it and I could smell it while he was sitting in my lap, it still smelled a little bit like spaghetti sauce.
Last night he hung onto it even while I undressed him and put him in the bathtub. I love this wooden spoon too. They just don't make spoons like this anymore. I got this wooden spoon at a second hand store and the wood is so hard and smooth that it has long been my favorite cooking utensil. What can I say? My son has good taste.
I appreciate Luke's simplicity :). He's well on his way to being a wonderful Mennonite man :). haha. Tons of love- and counting down the hours. . . John-Mark and I are driving down to Shafter in a few hours!!! XOXOXO, Auntie Lissa
