Talking to Dad

Sorry this is so dark! You still get to hear Luke's voice, though.

Last night Derek and Luke hung out on the living room floor as they often do. They played with toys and smiled at eachother. What was really unique about this particular visiting time was Luke's talking. He just chattered on and on to his Dad, and Derek chattered back...for a full thirty minutes! I said to Derek, "This is amazing. He never talks to me for more than five or ten minutes!" I was in awe, sitting listening to Luke's little voice, watching his mouth form tiny "Oooww"s. It was wonderful. When I began to feel a little sorry for myself that Luke never talks to me like that Derek comforted me saying, "You two are good friends, and good friends don't always have to talk".

I have several videos from last night, but I think you'll enjoy these quite a lot. I have also included several pictures of Cameryn from our trip to the park yesterday. Helene, Cameryn, Luke and I walked to the park and played on the swings and the slide. Luke was in the pouch, so there are no pictures of him. I've had so much fun playing with these photos in my computer program. Cameryn is a wonderful subject! And soon Luke will be more fun to photograph too...once he can sit up.

The news: Luke splashes bathwater all over the floor if we fill the tub up. He loves playing in the warm water!
